Taking care of someone can be a big job. Caregivers help with things like cooking, cleaning, and making sure you take your medicine. But it’s also important that caregivers take care of themselves too!
If caregivers don’t rest, eat well, or take breaks, they can get very tired and stressed. This can make it harder for them to help you. That’s why it’s important to remember that both of you need to stay healthy.
One way to help is by using DME. Things like a wheelchair or a lift can make it easier for your caregiver to help you move around. This way, they don’t hurt themselves by lifting heavy things or bending over too much. Remember, if your caregiver is healthy and happy, they can take better care of you!
